The always entertaining Jerry Springer was on WOR 710 Tuesday morning to talk about "The Jerry Springer Show." The former mayor of Cincinnati talked with Rob Astorino (filling in for John Gambling) about his hugely popular talk show.
"The Jerry Springer Show" receives a lot of criticism for its content, but it's one of the longest running shows on TV. The show first aired in 1991 and is currently syndicated across the country. During the interview Springer talked about the similarities between politics and show business and why the show only focuses on outrageous stories. "The show is about outrageousness, so we're only allowed to do those stories which are outside the social norm, outside what we consider appropriate," Springer revealed.
